The Program Director provides educational and administrative leadership to the program. In collaboration with Faculty, the Program Director schedules classes, teaching assignments, and facilities; facilitates curriculum development and revisions, and provides leadership in selection, orientation, evaluation, development and continued employment of full and part-time faculty and staff. The Director oversees the recruitment and admission of students, supervises staff, implements college policy and procedures, handles student concerns and communicates needs and concerns to the college’s administration.

Maritime & Safety Training Coordinator

A 12-month staff position domiciled at Fletcher’s Houma-Dickson Road Facility. The Maritime & Safety Training Coordinator will be the initial point of contact for individuals entering the facility and is responsible for welcoming and assisting guests, prospective students and current students upon arrival. This position will also provide support for Maritime and Safety programs, courses, faculty, staff, and students and assist with efforts to increase student enrollment and retention. This position will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a seamless and fully functional training operation.
STEM Center Program Specialist

BayouSTEM is the LaSTEM Region 3 STEM Center. We operate in partnership with Fletcher Technical Community College to support the STEM needs in Assumption, Lafourche, and Terrebonne parishes while collaborating with other Regional STEM Centers in the state of Louisiana. Our collective goal is to increase STEM equity and access though a “K to Gray” approach. The regional STEM centers support K-12, Technical/Community College and University STEM Pathways, Community partners, and business and industry partners in improving STEM access to increase interest in STEM careers and support the STEM demands of our region.
