The Director of Information Technology ensures the streamlined operation of the Information Technology Division and aligns the Division with the business objectives of the organization. The individual plans, coordinates, directs, designs, and provides direct support for IT-related activities, and instructional technology. In addition, the Director of Information Technology provides administrative direction and support for the daily operational activities of the Division. The Director of Information Technology works closely with all divisions of the College and at all College sites in order to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions associated with the campus IT infrastructure and delivery services, IT support for curricula, and students and staff for all campus-controlled aspects of the organization. Analyst - Desktop IT Network

The Desktop IT Network Analyst is responsible for providing support and maintenance for computer equipment and computer labs across all sites. This position will develop and maintain workstation management environment and provide advanced technical support for both Microsoft and Apple based workstations. The Maintenance Supervisor works under the direction of the Executive Director Facilities Planning and Management. The supervisor is responsible for the staff of Facilities Maintenance who perform maintenance service and repairs in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, HVAC, and other machine and electrical servicing for SOWELA. The supervisor is also responsible for planning, coordinating, and performing specialized facilities management services, while ensuring the campus buildings, grounds, systems, equipment, and supplies are maintained. The scope of work includes completing preventative maintenance schedules as well as restoring, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing faulty or inoperative components and parts. Creating and delivering reports, presentations, trainings, and other communication are essential functions.

This position is responsible for the preparation of consumables used in laboratory exercises, equipment usage, and maintaining adequate supplies in addition to preparing and delivering lectures, moderating classroom discussions, leading labs, and administering and grading examinations. Maintain accurate grade and attendance records. Adhere to all laws pertaining to disclosure of student records. Posts at office and on the syllabus, on-campus hours to facilitate interaction with students, other faculty, staff administrators and the public. Be available to students via email, phone and/or in person conference. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
