The purpose of employing student workers is to provide much needed assistance to the fulltime staff, and to provide meaningful work experience and training for the individual to prepare them for future employment.

The incumbent of this position reports directly to the Executive Director of Student Services and Student Success and will perform a variety of planning and project management functions for Student Affairs Offices.

Work Hours: 15-20 hours per week during class sessions; up to 29 hours per week during holidays and breaks.

Duties and Responsibilities: 
This position will assist the Student Affairs office with the administrative duties.
Duties include, but not limited to:
• acting as the data entry specialist in Maxient,
• assisting with the creation of promotional materials,
• serving as a liaison for student grievances,
• writing meeting summaries,
• preparing and sending communications to college stakeholders,
• tracking report compliance,
• creating a monthly email infographic,
• develop email communications regarding training events,
• ordering supplies,
• tracking training registrations,
• creating communication plans,
• updating contact lists and listserv members, and
• coordinating event setup.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education: Should be a full-time graduate student and maintain full-time status in order to retain eligibility for continued employment as a student worker.

Verification of full-time student status must be furnished to the Human Resources office at the beginning of each Spring and Fall semester.

Required Licenses or Certifications: 
Proof of full-time student status
A valid Louisiana driver's license
Proof of motor vehicle insurance
