Duties and Responsibilities: 

40% Enrollment Support:
• Assess current and potential students’ educational records and utilize cross-training to troubleshoot complex issues across Admissions, Financial Aid, Registrar, and Student Accounts.
• Counsel students on their next steps, following up to provide timely updates as needed to ensure a seamless enrollment process.
• Assist student by accepting documents as outlined by the department and college policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with other departments to help students overcome barriers to enrollment by using professional judgment, and individual discretion, as appropriate.
• Reporting and monitoring student progress through the enrollment process.
40% Student Guidance:
• Assist prospective students and applicants in understanding academic programs (Career Exploration), admission requirements, and financial aid/payment options.
•Provide campus tours, participate in First-Time Freshman Orientation, and other enrollment events offered to students, parents, high schools, and community-based organizations.
•Provide information to students and parents on completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), Master Promissory Note (MPN), and Loan Entrance Counseling.
•Teach students how to navigate LoLA to register for classes, view financial aid requirements, award offer, eligibility, and payment options.
15% Data and Communication:
• Maintain accurate records of student interactions, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
• Utilize data analytics to identify trends and areas of improvement in the enrollment process.
• Use our two-way text platform to respond to general inquiries about the enrollment process from prospective and applied students.
• Assist with inbound calls to the College and outbound calls to targeted prospects, applicants, and enrolled students as needed.
5% Other duties and projects as assigned by the Coordinator, Assistant Director or Director.

Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or institution.
Eight (8) years of experience in student affairs can substitute for minimum education requirement.

Required Experience: At least two (2) years in a customer service, finance, or accounting position.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with students, families, and colleagues.
•Ability to assess individual needs, identify barriers, and implement solutions.
•Proficient in Microsoft products and the ability to use databases for student record management, communication, and data analysis.
•Strong interpersonal abilities to build rapport, listen actively, and provide empathetic support for Delgado’s diverse student population.
•Ability to facilitate small and large group presentations.

Required Licenses or Certifications: 

Preferred Education: 

Preferred Experience: Two (2) years higher education experience in student affairs. Experience working in a higher education ERP system. Example: Banner

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to create and implement data driven plans that meet desired objectives and goals. Fluent in Spanish or other foreign language.
