The purpose of employing students and temporary employees is to provide much needed assistance to the full-time staff, and to provide meaningful work experience and training for the individual to prepare them for future employment. The student reports directly to the LCTCS MEP of LA Business Compliance Coordinator. This position is based in St. Martinville, Louisiana. Hybrid work schedule may be considered.

Work Hours: Up to 20 hours per week during class sessions; up to 29 hours per week during holidays and breaks.

Salary: Pay depends on college standing (freshman, sophomore, junior, senior) and will be according to LCTS policy.

Duties and Responsibilities: Under supervision of the Business Compliance Coordinator, performs a variety of administrative support duties and functions for the MEP of LA team and college affiliates. The student worker must be able to work independently or with broad supervision.

Position Duties
• This position will specifically assist the MEP of LA team by providing increased support to the internal team with duties related to NIST MEP supply chain initiatives, Salesforce CRM functions, data entry, and keyword searches, and
• Assists in the arrangement and maintaining tracking systems and the use of various scouting opportunity platforms, and
• Performs other duties as assigned, which will include routine office work, on an ad hoc basis.

Required Education: Should be a current college student and maintain active status in order to retain eligibility for continued employment.
Must be a full-time student and maintain full-time status (pursuing Associates, Bachelor's, or Graduate degree) in order to retain eligibility for continued employment as a student worker.

Verification of full-time student status must be furnished to the HR office at the beginning of each Spring and Fall semester.

Required Skills and Abilities: Must be familiar with and/or able to use Microsoft Office Suite programs, CRM, and a wide range of on-line social media platforms (posting, blogging, updates).

Required Licenses or Certifications: 
• Proof of full-time student status
• Valid Louisiana Driver's License
• Proof of motor vehicle insurance
