Duties and Responsibilities: - oversee, guide, and evaluate the preparation and performances of nursing students in the clinical and/or classroom settings.
- teach up to 29 contact hours per week.
Required Education: For clinical/academic nursing courses, all candidates shall:
- maintain an active, unencumbered registered nursing license from the Louisiana State Board of Nursing (LSBN).
- hold a graduate degree in nursing.
- have a minimum of two years of nursing practice as a registered nurse in a clinical setting prior to the appointment.
- function under the same policies established for other faculty in the parent institution, if hired.
- complete the LDCC online application process and agree to the required background check.
- complete the LSBN Faculty Qualification form, supply a current curriculum vitae, along with official transcripts of each attended university to the ASN Program Director.
- have team-player qualities.
- possess intermediate skills with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, and/or Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Experience in teaching is always a plus!
